History

The ICA is one of the (students) oldest associations in Wageningen and has a
long history.

In 1958 it was founded by the WUR for foreign students and foreign- and Dutch employees of the University.
The goal was to create a place where
foreign people from all nationalities
could come together for all sorts of
social and cultural activities.
The building was opened by the present queen of Holland, Her Royal Highness, Beatrix van Oranje Nassau.

The organisation of the ICA consists
of an advisory board and a council. The
mayor of Wagenigen and the Rector Magnificus of the WUR are members
 of the advisory board.

Nowadays, not only foreigners, students
and employees of the WUR but also inhabitants (Dutch and foreigners) of Wageningen and surroundings towns
are members of the ICA.
